For the last couple of weeks I’ve been working on the italics for typeface Rutger Serif. I had already drawn a first version of the italics about a year ago, but when I redesign the regular style the two did just not work together. Here is a first test of the font.
I will continue drawing the characters for this font for some time and when Ive got them all I will start using the two weights together.
It sure takes a long time for me to finish my fonts, but then again. I dont work very frequently on them.
Please comment if you find something not working. I really appreciate feedback during the development of any of my fonts.

Helvetica
Helvetica celebrated it’s 50th birthday in 2007 and is a full length movie/documentary by Gary Hustwit about the classic typeface Helvetica. See how the typeface has influenced graphic design, global visual culture and typography. A must see if you are interrested in typography or graphic design.

Just stumbled upon this infographic, “So you need a new typeface“, about how to choose a typeface for your project.
When I found the designer (Julian Hansen) I found that he has studied at the same school as me in Copenhagen (www.dmjx.dk), the place where I first got interrested in typography.
Great work Julian!
Greenpeace’s work to build a new ship is a great example of crowdfunding and involving the crowd with a brand.
By letting people contribute to the construction and buy the parts for the new “Rainbow Warrior” they can feel even more involved to the brand/cause. At the moment about 33% of the ship have been funded. Go check it out and buy a pen, window, couch or almost anything you like for the ship.
